This is a thumbnail for the children's book I mentioned in the first post. It's a dragon. An intimidating one I might add. I'd like to say the image came from my head but I eyeball-copied it from another image. Still looks pretty darn neat though.
Tasia, this would be the dragon/vacuum part...which I'm sure you already gathered.

Um, here's my backpack...floating in the ocean...I made a sad attempt to draw the blanket it was resting up against, then got lazy and made waves.

No. 3; 01/30

This lil' number was done on a napkin while I was at work on Saturday. It's one of our cooks, Claudio. He is swell. When I showed him this, he thought I was giving it to him and I had to try and explain why I needed to keep it (for the blog). His English is a bit limited so I probably came off really selfish and napkin-obsessed to him. But, he asked for a "big one" to give to his mom :)

No. 2; 01/29

Ah, the highly anticipated drawing of January 29th is now here...it's my water bottle!! Woooooo! I did this during my Intro to Graphic Design class. The smudging was inevitable but I started to like it so I began to purposely smudge (I live on the edge).

The smudging also led to this...and may I just point out that this was taken with my phone. Excellent quality if I do say so myself.

No Worries

I know everyone is just DYING to know where yesterday and today's drawings are. Unfortunately I haven't had access to my scanner, therefore I have not been able to share the goods with you fine people. But rest assured, I not only have been keeping up with the daily drawings but I will have them posted within the next day or two.

This may become a regular occurrence on the weekends. Drawings from Fri-Sun will most likely be posted Sundays or Mondays.

No. 1; 01/28...First daily drawing!! Check it out!

My sister and I have plans to write and illustrate a children's book (and wear pantsuits when we become rich and famous, but that's dreamin big). I probably should never have announced that we are trying to do that, because now we never will :) Anyway, a lot of these drawings may be thumbnails for that. So if you see a fro-like little boy like the one here, it is probably the main character of our book.

Pre-blog Drawings

Here's a few drawings I did for my Drawing 1 class with Julian Williams during my first year at Columbia.These were for a fabric and reflective object series. I found reflective objects surprisingly hard to draw.

Here are a few I did the other night at a figure drawing class held by Jeffrey Baumgartner and Diann Squiers in the Flat Iron Building. It was really nice to do something outside of Columbia that was drawing-related. We had a nude model for the class and a lot of the sketches are unfinished (they were timed poses and I draw slooooow). My apologies for a missing head, hand, foot, etc.

These here are my Terminator series (all 3 of them). I'd still love to add to it. I had plans to do Oprah, a storm trooper, Harry Potter and more. But these little babies take me HOURS to do and lots of patience. Sooo...yeah...don't count on it.

Here are a few randoms...the first one is supposed to be James Dean, not Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain. Ah hell, call it what you want.
