No. 16

I'm going to Boystown tonight for margaritas, so I was feeling extra gay. Loves it.

Blame Whitney Baker

I didn't get much drawing in this weekend. My very good friend Whitney came to visit me. So, naturally, I blame her. Here's a picture to prove I do not lie...

...don't we look so happy?!?! :) So much so that you don't even mind that I didn't draw?! I knew it, thanks.

Today's drawing will be posted tomorrow. I need to do some finishing touches in Photoshop.

Scholarship Essays...grrrr

You won't be seeing a post this evening. I am knee-deep in scholarship essays and reading assignments for class. I started a little piece yesterday that I don't want to scan in yet because it needs some finishing touches. I'll have it posted by tomorrow, hopefully.

Nighty-night.

Have you ever seen Death Becomes Her? Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis, Goldie Hawn....It's a really killer flick that I haven't seen in ages. I just randomly thought of it today and decided to base today's drawing off that measly little thought.

An update...

Good people that pay attention to this...

A confession...

I did not, [repeat], did not do a drawing yesterday. I am so ashamed. Ugh. So you will have one for today (Sunday) and that is it. Please do not lose hope. I just got forgetful and lazy. Forgive me. Happy Super Bowl? You shall see drawings tomorrow. 'Til then...

Did this in class today. It has no meaning.

I'm taking a painting class this semester that I am soooo excited for. Here's my first project...I'm painting a little Buddha guy I got in Chinatown. It's far from being done and it's my first time working with oils so please hold the criticism. Oh yeah, and don't let me post another one of these as a cop out for not doing that day's drawing...unless it's the final painting :)

This wasn't the actual drawing I did for Tuesday, but trust me, you don't want to see that. I decided to upload this little comic I drew on my flight back home to Arizona. The process of getting to my gate was a pain in the ass. And a lot of it had to do with this guy...old man river who was taking FOREVER to compare everyone's ID to the name on the ticket and back again. Good times. Sorry it's so small!

This is a thumbnail for the children's book I mentioned in the first post. It's a dragon. An intimidating one I might add. I'd like to say the image came from my head but I eyeball-copied it from another image. Still looks pretty darn neat though.
Tasia, this would be the dragon/vacuum part...which I'm sure you already gathered.

Um, here's my backpack...floating in the ocean...I made a sad attempt to draw the blanket it was resting up against, then got lazy and made waves.

Wow...I really better step it up to keep you people interested...

This lil' number was done on a napkin while I was at work on Saturday. It's one of our cooks, Claudio. He is swell. When I showed him this, he thought I was giving it to him and I had to try and explain why I needed to keep it (for the blog). His English is a bit limited so I probably came off really selfish and napkin-obsessed to him. But, he asked for a "big one" to give to his mom :)

Ah, the highly anticipated drawing of January 29th is now here...it's my water bottle!! Woooooo! I did this during my Intro to Graphic Design class. The smudging was inevitable but I started to like it so I began to purposely smudge (I live on the edge).

The smudging also led to this...and may I just point out that this was taken with my phone. Excellent quality if I do say so myself.
